Heidrick & Struggles
is working with Tomorrow’s Company to create a ground-breaking web 2.0 site that is going to bring to life, in a practical and innovative way, the themes from the report Tomorrow’s Global Company: challenges and choices. The report argued that stronger frameworks are needed to enable companies to create wealth and shareholder value at the same time as delivering practical solutions to global issues such as climate change, persistent poverty and human rights abuses.

The aim of this project is to build a global community of interest – using the inquiry report as a framework and platform for demonstrating why and how business is indeed a force for good:  highlighting great practice through video, podcast, and text, providing a one stop shop for agenda setting thinking.

Part of the project is to inspire people through example, so they inviting nominations for real trailblazers who have a crucial influence on the future of business through their practical impact on areas such as ethics, environment, community engagement, social entrepreneurship, education, and so on.

Nominees might include an individual within a large corporation or an entrepreneur behind a ground-breaking new business. But whoever they are, and wherever they work on the planet, they must have demonstrably succeeded in working with business to create positive social, political or environmental change.

From the nominations received a shortlist will be chosen and their work, impact and experience will be showcased as part of the new Tomorrow’s Global Company website which will launch at Davos in January 2008. If you know of someone who would welcome the opportunity to share their work with a larger audience, please let us have a name, company and country and ideally a line or two on why they deserve to be noticed. Time is short so please think hard and send us your ideas by 2 January 2008 to gmaslen@heidrick.com
